How To Make Your Profile Picture Memorable 

So users can jump on board faster

If there is one thing to remember about Instagram profile pictures its that less is more. You have a 1cm wide circle (depending on your screen) to standout so think about your logo and how you're going to make it pop on screen.

In saying that, you don’t necessarily need to use your logo, it could be your brands colour or a symbol that is recognizable to your audience. Brand’s that have five or less letters in their name can get away with running the name in the picture but if it becomes hard to read you are best to re-think it.

Notice how all the logo’s have adopted their brand color and incorporated their entire logo in the profile picture, this works for brands with short names but for the larger titles it starts to get too wordy, especially whilst gramming from your phone. Here are some good examples of brands that have realised the flaws in having such a long name.

Nike, one brand who is constantly referenced as best practice bar their production practices. As we stated earlier it’s best to keep it simple and create a profile picture that is recognizable on a small screen.
